Magenta Living is the largest registered housing provider in Wirral, owning and managing just under 13,000 properties. Employing around 600 staff, we are proud to be a significant local employer with Investors in People Gold standard, and we have also retained our Customer Service Excellence certificate. Having invested almost £200million in our existing properties, we plan to build over 800 properties for rent and just under 400 properties for sale over the next six years. We have a clear vision for the future, and we are in the process of refinancing to raise additional finance to deliver our vision and many ambitions.

Our new Chair will be a highly strategic leader who appreciates the essential role that we play within our communities. Providing inspirational and strong leadership to the Magenta Living Board, we were last assessed as G2/V1 by the regulator and our Chair will ensure effective governance arrangements are in place, promoting collaborative working relationships across the Board and Executive team. The new Chair will inspire confidence in our many stakeholders and have the ability to get the best out of people and teams, helping us refine our vision as we move forward over the next few years.

With relevant experience from a regulated environment, ideally with an appreciation of the social housing sector, you will be a proven strategic leader with excellent governance knowledge. Along with chairing experience, you will bring the essential emotional intelligence and team building skills required to fully utilise the strengths of board colleagues. Commercially aware, and with a passion for what we do, you’ll be the type of visionary leader who embraces change and  appreciates our significant ambitions and potential. The time commitment is in the region of four to six days per month.
